About Dr. Bishop

Dr. Susan Bishop has over 20 years of experience in education. She began her career serving students with complex needs in inclusive settings and has worked in early intervention, non-public schools and K-12 classrooms. As part of SELPA , her work focused on partnering with families and school teams to develop Individualized Education Plans allowing students to thrive. Dr. Bishop’s experience in district administration included collaborating at all levels to ensure the success of students. She understands the complex factors necessary to sustain effective special education programs. She has also taught college coursework to aspiring special education and general education teachers. Her current work involves structuring and facilitating systems change in districts to positively impact the most underserved student groups.
